At that mileage, my guess is 6-8k? Lt1's really dont fetch much these days... especially since you can get a ls1 (if you search hard enough) for 6-8K... Ive seen them down to $5500... Also price depends if your going to "collect it" or drive it... collector cars can sometime fetch more...

only true rules are 1) what is it worth to you and 2) if you need a loan, what does the bank think it's worth

personally if you want it I say buy it and enjoy it

^ +1. Value is what you put on it. Just make sure you run a VIN check on it to make sure its a genuine WS6 and not a clone.

There were alot more than 477 made in 1997. In 96 there were close 1100 or 1200 made and that same number applies to 97. I believe the number was closer to 1470 for 97 WS6 (number includes both WS6 T/A's and WS6 formula's).

My 96 WS6 T/A is #1073. You can actually call SLP and give them the vin# of the car your looking at and they will tell you if it's a real WS6 and the build number of the car.

LT1 are sexy LS1's are everywhere

^ +1 on that, and I say buy it if it's a true WS6, I rarely see an LT1 WS6 but the LS1's are all over the place..

There were 473 WS6 Formula's built in 1997 by SLP. I paid $12k for mine with right under 9,000 original miles and flawless and my buddy is about to buy a '97 with 59,000 for $9,000ish just to give you an idea.

I was speaking of total build (WS6 T/A's & WS6 Formula's), he said 477. You say 473, my point only being that he should make sure of the info if he is going to give top dollar for his vehicle. Actually if you break it down on my car there are only 177 made in 1996 silver WS6 cars. If you break it down even further, there are something like 103 silver 1996 WS6 T/A's. I say buy the car if you can get a fair an equitable deal worked out between you and the buyer. LT1's are still alot of fun !

Yes, my car is flawless just like STEALTH FORMULA's WS6 Formula (never seen rain) for a LT1 WS6 car (owned since 1997). You will like all the compliments you get on a clean LT1 WS6, there are almost no examples of these cars left for people to appreciate.

Just to give you added incentive:

Sorry for the pic with the front bumper off. I was working on the HID projector at that time.

Tell him to keep the stupid stereo and knock off $1500 or so. Go find the factory 10spkr kit (if it doesn't already have it). I'm NEVER going to spend much on my stereo, as I'm 100% happy with how mine sounds factory. Plus, weight is dumb in a sports car.

I agree on $8K being the most to spend. I wouldn't take out a loan if you don't have to. Hinders the ability to upgrade.
