Default Lt1/lt4

Hello all,

My friend has a 93 formula whos engine has died. My question is, where can we get a turnkey LT4 or HO LT1 to drop in there. I have been looking at the vendors but nobody seems to advertising much. Any leads would be appreciated..... Thanks!!

It's a perfect excuse.... If you have the pocket book to accommodate. No the stock trans won't work w/o some added things. I don't remember what it all takes to get an LSx to bolt to a LTx 4L60E. Then again, since his is a 93, it's a 4L60, which won't even work period.

Just have a local shop build up an LT1 for him. There's no such thing as a stock HO LT1 (That I'm aware of). That's basically what the LT4 is, but it's no god send.

They are..most of them are Ebay specials..
I always re-build a new Engine that is factory and a take-out. That's just me though, most people probably don't have the time or the space to do it.

There are built LT1's on ebay, and I have seen a couple LT4 complete engines, ecu, wiring, everything... out of wrecked cars on ebay motors.

If you want to shell out $6k for a bare Engine, still have to buy the Acessories.
My Stroker cost almost that..that's why you do it yourself.

Damn right..use it if you got it. It's Air Conditioned, and the Music and Beer is close by.

Hey, I meant that I wanted him to get an LS2, I found that site 72 seconds ago

GTO LS1/LS2's and Vette's LS6's are on ebay and other part out sources for less then half of that, with everything you need, and sometimes include the tranny.

Heck, I was looking at an 04 GTO engine myself....... ya bastard
The reason that engine is 5600 is because its BRAND SPANKING NEW, with a 24 month, 50K mile warranty.
