Default Finally got her back :) but I have a question.

So my car is back and finally fixed. She is running really strong now. Of course I went out and had some fun with her. My friend wanted to see and hear me pass him pretty fast so when i passed him I shifted into the next gear, it popped and he said that I shot two decent size flames out the back. Now I am fairly excited but I am kind of also worried because I am not sure if thats a good thing or not. So I guess my question is if thats normal/good or not. It really only happens when I shift at really high RPMs.

typically popping on pressing the clutch in is caused by running rich, but ive never seen flames shoot out lol

do you have a muffler?

Mine used to do that when it was stock. Nothing to be worried about.

Mine shot out huge flames when I had a blown plug wire but I also think it was running very rich.

Yea I have headers, no cat, and a muffler. Hopefully my friend and I can get a video of it doing that so I can see it and I will try to post a link to it on here. Thanks for your help.

Mine did it with the A4, we have it on Video, shot a big *** flame out the back of it, though the Engine was gone.
The cause on mine was the Shift Point was off.
