Opti upgrade need help

Opti upgrade need help guys i think my opti has gone out again!!!!! 
i replaced it a while back it has about 15K miles on it. i replaced it with a Summit Cap and Rotar and the distributor from a local parts store. i was wondering since i am on a tight budget if an MSD cap and rotar would work on a GM optispark? or would a different set up work? i don't want to spend a whole lot of cash. my car is a 94Z A4. oh and by the way i replaced the O2's barely yesterday and they were blacker than black would this cause this? and it threw these codes DTC 32, DTC 36, DTC 42. i can't remember which one was which but one of them was for the opti. thanx in advance.
