i see no one has suggested any suspension parts.
get some lca's and subframe connectors if u dont alredy have them.
that will help some from a dig and make the car more stable.
also a poly trans mount will also help, seeing as how these parts are rather
inexpensive, and they are pretty much manadatory if u are going to drive hard.along time ago i welded 3/4 in. rebar in the u channels of the stock tq arm, and it seem to help, but i would not recommend it if u are not trained in welding.

Well i got subframe connectors allready so that outta the way, i guess lower and upper control arms would be a good next mod, maybe from UMI?

As for my Borla question, they sound nice and clean and loud ,man, i love them to death, They have a nice high rev sound to them but they were somewhat expensive, $800 but if you wanna save money id say go with the SLP loudmouth Exhuast II, hear they sound even louder and nice, but then agine Borla is a name you brag about i guess. Go to LS1sound.com and you can check out the diffrent types out setup with them and other exhust system's man.

on an fbody you only have one set of control arms. did you used to drive a mustang? they have upper & lowers but fbodys only have what would be the lowers. i dont know anything about the different types though. maybe somebody knows what advantages the different ones have ? like the rod end type or the double adjustables ? are they worth the extra dough?

My perfect roll is from 30. That is absolutely the highest speed I can go for it to kick into 1st. If I go 31mph, it's low 2nd. You must have 2.73s, cause that's what my shift points are set for.
Not much you can do as a driver to be quicker. Your limited to traction. So figure out how hard you can push it before the tires slip from a dig.

F-Bodies chew up 5.0s stock. No matter if it's 3rd of 4th gen, so he's lying his *** off saying it's stock. Or, sadly, you suck that bad

Hell, even the 4.6s we walk. My 350 TPI had no problem with them.

I need to get my LCAs. I didn't steal them off my 91 before I sold it (they fit between 3rd and 4th gen). Get an Energy Suspension trans mount too (which I also forgot to steal off my 91). They kick *** to the Nthº!!

throttle body bypass if you havent done it already.its supposedly good for a few horses throughout the rpm range. its something until you get your gears and a stall. my buddy has a 94 formula with an a4 and just a stall and and tune made it quicker.the shifts were firmer too-i guess from the tune.i have an m6 so im not sure.hes got gears in back now too-in other words i think you're on the right track for the setup you have. if it was me id wait until you know you have that mustang beat to race it again. then ? smoke him ! hahaha also you should have better traction off the line already. my mustang did nothing but spin tires

I love when people only read the posts they want to

If you don't have money to make a car faster, you can easily drop a little weight just by removing some stuff. The spare tire and jack aren't a bad place to start, also the back seat isn't too bad either. If you haven't already done it, the TB Bypass takes all of 10 minutes to do, and it'll keep the Throttle Body a little cooler so you can get a little more peak power.

If you haven't done it, check this out:
http://shbox.com/1/tb_bypass.jpg

And also do a search, you'll find more than enough information on it.

Also look into doing a simple tune-up on the car. Plugs, wires, O2 sensors, Fuel Filter, Fluids. You'd be shocked at how well the car performs when all of the maintenance is up to date. Assuming you're younger (and broke.. hey I feel your pain), have the parentals pay for it. Tell them its so your car can keep running properly so you can get to school and work. It worked for me quite a bit

When you're racing, you can still stall the factory transmission a little bit. Hold the brake and the gas and get it up to about 1500-ish RPMs and hold it until the hands go down to go. Lay into it. A lot of the time it just takes seat time and practice to really get the feel for things.

Now with all of that aside, I'd also suggest taking it to the track. The ends rarely justify the means, and the controlled environment of a track will give you a lot more of a chance to practice improving your driving/launching skill than worrying about whether the idiot next to you will run you off the road, or if cops will come, etc. etc. etc.
I'm also surprised no one else has commented on the street racing.
I'm not playing your Dad, and I'm probably not much older than you. But don't they crush your car for racing in CA now? Why even want to risk it?

yah they do man, just changed the law because of that, well the place i go everybody is crazy drivers and reckless. I uaslly have a spot that is really really long and way after hours, Far away from citys and people. I feel like its a safe place to race were i take it but you never know when something might happend, the only lives i feel iam risking are my own and my opponet.
