Default Slp Cai

recently got one and its a pain in the *** to get on with the stock elbow. anyone else run into this? and is there an easy way to get the filters on?

Did you get one for a Speed Density (93) car and you're running a MAF? Or are you trying to wedge it in your 86? If that's the case, then no wonder you're having fitment issues lol

lmao no i have a 96 Z28. i guess maybe i could be for a SD car. any way to rig it up so it fits a little better? i dont think i could even get it on there if i got the vortech elbow

Well the SD one is longer, since it doesn't have the MAF to take up like 4-5". All you'd have to do then is saw off enough, or give it to me >_> The latter really would be your best bet *cough nudge*

EDIT: It could also be for the 3800. Forgot they made one for it as well.

yea i have that problem a lot, it sucks. I really like the intake but as for changing/cleaning the air filters and just the overall un/installing that thing is a pain

burned me man! j/k I dont know, I thought it sucked having to get under the car and remove the plastic just to get the air filters on/off.

I attach the elbow to the maf and cai and then attach the elbow to the TB its a pain in the *** sometimes the bottom of the elbow gets stuck on the TB, but thats the only way i can ever get the damn thing on.
