Default two questions

First question is, how long have most of you hade your MSD 8.5mm Super Conductor wires? My wires have about 15,000 miles on them and they are completely shot. Every wire is arcing everywhere. They are ran in the stock location and are not touching any headers or anthing. Second question is, would a bad ground somewhere cause the wires to arc? I have been through a couple of diffrent sets of wires over the past couple years and they all started arcing. The MSD wires seemed to have lasted a little longer though. The car runs alright under normal driving but dosen't have very much power. I plan on running my new wires over the valve cover but I dont want to get a new set of wires and the same thing happens again. Thanks

I had at least 3-4 sets of wires and they all arc'ed when i ran them under the car. I have had my taylor otvc wires on for well.... I can't really remember how many miles, I'd say at least almost 20k and no problems. I had 2 sets of msd wires go bad under the headers and 2 sets of stock wires do the same.

Are you happy with the Taylor wires? A friend of mine said he could hear them popping through his radio. I was thinking of getting the MSD cut to fit with the Opti ends, but there like $130. I may just go with Taylors.

Was your friend listening to AM radio? LOL. I have never seemed to have any problems with anything coming through the radio. I used to have MSD wires and never had any arcing problems and I have Taylor OTVC wires now with 0 problems.

no popping here. I do have a high pitch whine but that is because of the wiring I chose and where I ran it.

My MSD's arced badly also. I got the Taylor cut to fit with the OTVC brackets and that took care of the problem.
