Is a v6 plastic tank the same as an LS1 plastic tank?

as far as the ohms of each think Magnus once told me ls1 is 90 ohms empty IIRC

my ls1 tank weighed 20# dry guts removed (standing it on end on a bathroom scale lol)

I'm not finishing until I'm 100% sure I can run the return line and still vent w/o it burping or anything like that

I just weighed my LT1 tank a few minutes ago. WITH pump and guts inside, it weighs right around 30 lbs.

I was thinking an LS1 tank WEIGHS 20 lbs, NOT gives a 20 lbs weight savings. I was thinking therefore 10 lbs savings.

However, I just read fast's post. If an LS1 tank weighs 20 lbs WITHOUT bucket and pump, then that sucks. It means swapping tanks probably results in a whopping ~5 lbs reduction. ****.

I finally found the source I read a few years back when I Googled "f-body weight reduction list." The "Colonel" of LS1Tech compiled a list of weight reduction mods based on the testimonials of other members, so no one should blame him for inaccurate information.

Here's a link to the list:

from what I was told back when the plastic tank hold 1 more gallon of fuel so if you lose 5# and then put in another gallon your car actually weighs a couple #s more LMAO

OK, that makes sense. How removable are these things or do you know? I am hoping to pick one up at the junkyard without having to buy another bucket.
