Looks great man! seeing your results is making me think about doing that. I like that they are dimable. Would it be to much light to replace all bulbs???

Only 7 bulbs are lit during normal function. The other 13 or so are specialty lights (check engine.....etc.) What I do not understand is that I keep telling the sponsor that SEVEN bulbs are lit yet they only send SIX in the "kit".

I ordered overlays from whitegauges and got the leds from superbrightleds. I got the single led 180* illumination bulbs, they are a 194 bulb just like the stock bulbs but have an led light instead of the filiment. The advantage to the 180* single leds is that they don't just light straight like a regular led and they have a softer light to eliminate hot spots. The overlays were on backorder but they will be here either tomorrow or monday and I'll take some install pics, but here are some pics of leds.....

Don't Order blue ones. They will be just as dim as stock then. Gotta get the one's pictured above in white. I had them in my '96 and they lit up REALLY nice You'll need about 7-8 to get all the dark spots outta it. What you do is take a small Maglite and shine it in the hole until you find the bulbs that light up the guages and not specific things like turn signals or SES lights. Hope that helps.~Cole~

^thanks for the advice, I had already processed my order though. I'm not too worried if I can get them brighter than stock though, I just want the blue color I guess. I ordered 8 bulbs, I figured the one guy said you need 7 for the cluster, and I seem to have one from autometer that has already failed.......
Wow, they have black light LEDS? What the hell does that look like in a dash? Anyone out there crazy enough to try it? Sounds kinda cool. Too bad they don't have a #86 bulb. I can tell you I will never purchase the autometer LEDs ever again, they are crazy expensive!

Thanks for posting a pic of the bulb. What I'm wondering is how you installed the inverted LED into your current socket (holds the 194 bulb with solder). All of my main sockets don't allow the 194 bulb to be removed without having to re-solder the LED to the socket. I have a 96 WS6 car and was hoping someone is now making a re-placeable socket that you can install the LED's as a plug and play item.
Can you post a pic or two of the inverted 194 LED in the socket that holds the LED ?
Thanks, Mike

Alright I dug up the ford twistlock part # incase they are needed....F4UZ-13B765-A At my small town dealer they had about 50 of these on hand so they are pretty easy to come by. And there are no modifications that are needed to get these in ours cars as far as I know. And again you will need 7 leds and 7 twistlocks

Here are the pics everyone requested. In one I have the seven bulbs that are lit highlighted in red boxes. You can also see where you need to solder the bulbs in the twist locks. Enjoy!

Turnin20s,
So, your telling me that the FORD part# F4UZ-13B765-A is a direct replacement twist lock base for a 194 LED that will fit my 1996 WS6 cluster. If so, your have solved a long standing problem of getting the twistlocks for these cars so you can plug and play the LED's. Thanks in advance.
