They like 3200-3600 Vig or yank stalls a whole lot more! Stall and spray best combo for an auto car.

A good stall helps any combo, stock stall sucks for performance, thats why people knock .5 off their 1/4 times with a good stall.

2800rpm here, it launches hard enough that I can hook on the bottle on the street, but not so much so that it blows the tires off. cut a 1.61 on 17" et streets, never messed around with it with the stock stall.

A stall converter will help, now with the TQ curve of a n20 hit, its going to ramp it up faster then it would do on motor, that probably why people recommend stock stalls. Just be aware, you should get a converter built to take n20, also make sure the tranny is in good health. If you slug a converter in but burn the tranny, its new stall time again.

If you own a 94/95 car you need the stall wall fix if the car can hit above 2800 rpm, if it is 96/97, no issues. The stall should be rated around 3000, even if a cam goes it, it should match well.

one of the main things i would think about is making sure that the tires you are using for that set up are meaty enough to handle that kinda violence off the line..

You can contact pcmforless, or madwolf, over on cz28.com its a PCM issue with ODB1 4L60e's that if the car sees 2800 or so rpms and the car isnt moving, it freaks out and goes into 3rd and stays in 3rd, makes you feel like you blew the tranny.

You need to turn the car off, and turn back on, I had a mild 2500 stall but with the 383, hotcam and M/T radials I managed to set it off, meaning all converters are different, all engine combos are different. Hell you can take the same company, have them make 10 converters and put in the same car and they are all going to vary a little bit.

I have a PI 3600 and I was running a 200 shot. When I talked with Bryan via e-mail, he told me it was a hit or miss with his tune. He told me to load it up and give it a try (this was 1 to 1 1/2 years ago). i don't know if he actually has the fix, but I could be wrong.

I'm still have problems with the 1-2 shift. At the last race with the 200 shot, I hit the rev limiter on the 1-2 shift and had a nitrous back fire. This is what my intake elbow looks like LOL It blew the filter, maf screen, nozzle, iat sensor and opti tube off the car. I had to unplug the maf to get the car started and drive it home.

So, I may be putting my PI 2800 back in.

You need to fix the shift point, not change the converter. It is a tuneable parameter and is obviously set too high in your PCM.

I do have LT1 Edit and I did set the 1-2 shift MPH by 5 MPH and then 10 MPH and still the same results. I think I read somewhere that the computer is not fast enough, but I'm not sure.

stock stall and 150 shot w/ m/t et streets i cut a 1.62 60' my e/t streets were just a little too bald to hook on the street though...but did just fine at the track. im switching to the th-350 and gonna go with approx. 2700 stall. so i shouldnt need the "stall wall fix"....i think. lol please do correct me if i am wrong....but if im running an A3 the computer wont be able to shift into 3rd.

Speedylexus, get something in the 2800-3400 range. 4th gen, with a TH-350, you won't have to worry about stall wall. It's a 4l60e problem only.

I really liked my PI 2800 stall and N2O when it was installed. Then I even liked it more when I swapped in an aftermarket torque arm.
