Ported LT1 heads, around 265 cfm I believe, 195cc 2.00/1.56 valves.

LT4's flow around 240 stock vs LT1 212. http://www.grandsportregistry.com/lt1vslt4.htm

LS1's flow around 220-240 depending on the casting.
https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-internal-engine/95538-flow-s-stock-heads.html

1.7RR's will also make my lift about .510/.520 vs .476/.479 for LT4

I've seen bolt-on LT4's claim around 330-335 rwhp with just headers and intake, so if I hit that or more I would be happy.

Stock Cobras aren't that fast? Who told you that lie? lol I am just picking at you. All jokes aside they will fly "stock escpecially modded" they are so hard to drive so it is rare to find someone that can make them run.

Nice race man you did big.

\\The LT4s come stock with bigger valves than the stock LT1s.

My LT1s flow better than 265 and I'm only a 190cc intake runner 2.00/1.56 valve.

LPE (a well known reputable shop) only advertises a 5 hp difference between their 350 LT1 and the LT4 package and 10 for the 383.
http://www.lingenfelter.com/pack_cor_c4_383.htm

I will admit that for a stock SBC the LT4 rocked, but it had a lot of little advantages over a stock LT1 (ie some of the supporting mods were done at the factory ... bigger lighter valves, roller rockers, higher compression......)

Now when it comes to mod ability the LSXs have us LTX guys at a big disadvantage their engines are cheaper and easier to get bigger performance. But that's progress.

Im down, anything below 115mph should be interesting. I don't mind losing as long as its close. Shoot me a PM, I have lots and lots of cars that are down to race from a dig, we are running out of people to pick at around here.

LSX potential > LTX potential thats the bottom line. I've had both, but I like being sneaky. "Stock LT1, i swear" Ford guys couldn't tell the difference if you parked the car on thier head.

I disagree with that statement. Properly Ported LT1 heads will outflow stock LT4 casting all day long. And LS1 heads flow closer to 250-260 CFM at 0.500 lift. No way is a stock gen 2, 23 degree, 195cc casting heads will ouflow gen 3 15 degree, 205cc castings in stock form.

Actually around 260 cfm is LS2/LS6 head flow, LS1's do flow more around the peak 225-235 range, which do put LT4 heads just slightly better flowing than LS1. However I do believe that LS1's have equal or slightly better mid lift numbers and exhaust numbers .

LT4s do flow slightly better at .500 than LS1's, I might have embellished a bit on on my previous statement. I take it back. However, I have yet to lose to a stock LS1 vette or F-body from a roll or dig. I have also beaten some ported LT1 heads and cam f-bodys, but i've lost to a few too. All I am trying to get at is, LT4s are way under rated and with the right driver they can beat just about any other stock car with the exception of LS2/LS6/LS7 vettes. Properly ported LT1 will outflow stock LT4s, your right, that doesn't mean they will make any more power though!

Now, wait. The GT500 could probably beat a stock 02 F-body... Probably.

Haha now now we need to compare the same years so wait for the new Camaro...

Damn man your Vette looks really good, how many miles if you don't mind me asking? Can't go wrong with a red car, black with chrome lip rims and black tint. Exact same scheme as mine even rims and tires haha, those are 17x11 in the rear right?
