removing valve covers. do you have to replace the valve cover gasket if I remove it Im haven trouble getting a the header on the passeger side through the botton so I will try the top but the valve cover is in the way.

did you try raising the motor up? should be able to get a couple inches of lift out of it before you hit the cowl but it would probably be enough to let the header slip in there. somehow I doubt you'll get it through the top.
I didn't have too much trouble going in from the top with my race pacesetters. I don't see what all the fuss is about as far as that goes.

If you have too and you do have a lift to do the work on. i found out that lifting up the motor is a hell of a lot harder than just droping the K-Member a few inches. just loosen the bolts evenly. This is the best way if you are coming in from the bottom with a set of longtubes. it also keeps you from scratching up the headers and your valve covers.
