It seems to me like it will need a dent in it so it fitts and has some room with the stearing shaft. So its not sitting up against the header. Did anyone put a dent to make it fit.

lol.....mine slide right in. Completely remove the shaft just to get it out of the way. You need to have the bottom of the car about 2 feet off the ground and the oil filter removed. Turn the header on is side with the primaries toward the ground and angle it up in the bottom of the bay. Please make sure you dont start kicking it up there and damage the temp switch. They are an extra 13 bucks. .... You really just need to work it up there and see where your hitting and where you have room to move. They take a second but once they are in there they fit well and tight.

FYI the header bolts that come with the PS's SUCK. Replace with some stainless if you have not already

EVery header is different, I had to dent mine intially but after the motor settled, it had plenty of room, it all varies.

As for fitment the driver side sucks the works, its all about the feel and angle, have a friend help.

After I got my Hooker's installed, my steering knuckle was right on the header tube. I took a ball peen hammer and put a dent in for clearance. Fixed that.
