Default Any tube chassis LT1s?

Any one know of heard any one running an LTx based power plant in a tube chassis car or even a rail type dragster? Kinda curious to see if any one has, I have never seen one before.

May have been done before, but probably a waste of money.

Not really, Acufab has a tube chasis Cougar that went 6s, thats using a production block and heads '96 Ford 32 Valve motor with a turbo. Moran has also clicked 6s in his tube chasis Camaro using a turbo LS1.

I know a guy around here that cut up his LT1 Camaro for tube chassis. It was a beautiful car and everyone kinda thought he was a dumb dick to do it. IMHO, tube chassis are cool for frame cars but stick with the unibody on unibody cars.
