nighthawk is right. also put the cut out in the I-pipe right before it goes over the rear axle.

No room for a cutout before the cat,you'd have to chop off your cat,which im sure would go REAL well in california 
we can do that here in oklahoma 
BTW 3" is not the stock exhaust size,but 3" makes it alot easier to install when its getting welded in,i'd go with 3",the exhaust shop will thank you for it.
we can do that here in oklahoma BTW 3" is not the stock exhaust size,but 3" makes it alot easier to install when its getting welded in,i'd go with 3",the exhaust shop will thank you for it. yea, it will be right behind the passanger seat before the pipe goes over the axle. that way if you use an electric motor to open and close the cutout there is an indentation on the floor board to where you can turn the cut-out motor upwards so it doesnt hang low and get ripped off.
