Default TB bypass

i am gonna do the tb bypass tomorow, but i have a few questions. what are the disadvantages? ive heard that it can cause some idling problems. has anybody had any problems with it at all? i would think that it would cause some confusion with the computer because the intake air temp sensor is gonna be reading the same as always but the actual intake air is gonna be colder than before. any answers?

Wow,you make it sound so complex jeesh. The TB bypass will not hurt your car what so ever . Now if you live in -20 degree weather, then u might run into problems.

I did it about a week ago and didnt notice a thing except for some reason I'm getting better gas milage, but that could be because I havn't had my cutout open this whole week. Anyways I dont think that it'll hurt anything.

Some rubber hose, couple clamps, one connector. I think that's it off the top of my head.

here is where it says it might mess up your idle http://www.ultimateresourceguides.co...-freemods.html
look at the bottom paragraph

i did the mod today. i havent really tested it and i really dont expect to feel a gain but it has to help a little. at first my idle would not go below 1500 even after warm, but i figured out it was because i had water in the idle control valve connector. i blew it out and it runs fine now. it all took about 30 minutes plus a trip to advance and 1 dollar and 29 cents for hose so it has to be worth it.
