On a hijacking note, I was just thinking about this.
I bought a 93 t56 a while back from a guy named Taner up in Austin who said
he was friends with you. I was wondering if you knew any background
on the tranny ie. M28/M29. It's in my car now, and is working out great

 

that thing is a beast!

 

Yea we decided at the last minute to take the car out there.

Taner is a good friend of mine. That is a good transmission. I have actually pulled that thing from his car a few times.

Sick vids and times tony..... awesome for shakedown runs. Get that tranny ironed out by calling ATI and ordering something BULLETPROOF! You won't be disappointed with the ATI 400.... Not cheap by any means but effective. Intake is on my motor now so now it's all nickel and dime crap with my motor. bolts, nuts and brackets are all that's left....

hopefully i'll be dropping the motor in august for some september dyno time....

congrats again. Guess I better hope you don't figure out where .56 is going before I get mine running

I made a shake down pass this weekend to. nothing special just needed to log a pass for the data. I found an issue solved it and I think I may be ready to spray it next weekend I'm a little worried it might go on the bumper! Should be pretty good if the front end stays down.

 

awesome runs man. the tranny thing sucks ... but there are a lot of guys who can make a 400 last for awhile. looks like you were really fighting that thing too, awesome ride for sure.

 

Jason.......hurry up and get that thing finished so we can line em up! Would make a hell of a show!

I'll try to get some vids I need to make one more pass to confirm the blower tune then comes the spray! should be bottom 9 or high 8 not sure if it will run an 8 in the heat. I'm sure it will hit 8s in the fall when it cools off.

good for you Tony!!! my year has been littered with issues, my best pass to date was shifting 1-2, 2-doh!, then skip third and goto 4, it went 9.7 @ 143 with a 119.08 mph 1/8th mile et.

i hope to have my trans back fresh for more abuse by the end of the week, lol!!!!!

keep us posted, thank god for o/t, it is paying for a rebuild of my trans.

 

Thanks Taner. I hate to see you are having problems as well but I guess that is part of racing. We have definately paid our dues!
