Default 1st shakedown run complete

Finally got some decent weather without rain. Took the car out there just to see if it would go straight. Well......it did not go straight! It will take some suspension tweaking to make this thing go straight and 60ft like it is supposed to. Also my transmission had problems again as it did not have 2nd gear. I ran this pass with 1st gear and third gear only as you will see in the in-car vid when I post it up later. No excuses....still have a lot of work to do and I am please with the first shakedown pass.

9.56 @ 143.68 mph with a 1.42 60ft. 3450lbs raceweight (weighed it last night.)

This was only with a 250 shot. I have to fix the other issues before I hit it with more.

Tony

Here are the vids. One in car and one from behind. Thanks for the vids Kyle! Enjoy!!

Decent times, you will hit your goal for sure.

Its always good not to go full bore on shake down runs, especially with these cars, I've seen car get put on the bumper and destroy the car when it hits the ground.

That's going to be a fast setup when you can keep your th400 from running like a powerglide. Glad to see you got to run it.

Good first hit man, I tell you if you have one problem, its with transmissions, for what ever reason you and they don't seem to get along with one another.

It's funny say 9.50's is a good shake down. How many of us wish we could hit that period?
