ls1 lid conversion/hood combo
ls1 lid conversion/hood combo I dont wanna mod all my stuff to do a lid conversion. And theres some hoods that clear it. Anyone know if the 3'' SS hood from VFN will clear the lid with no modding??
the VFN wont droppedm6z28 tried it.
mine is the only one that i found that fit. the cowl starts at the very front so itll cradle it perfectly.
the SS hoods dont have the indentation to house the lid like the LS1 SS hoods because of the "streamline" slant the LT1 has.
only one i dont know about is glasstek 4". if anyone has one ask them to take a picture of the inside of the cowl. you NEED a good 3" from the plateau of the hood latch bar to the bottow of the cowl.
other is the harwood, BUT it needs to be cut somewhat in the front of the cowl.
this is the indisde of mine. you can see that deep drop off after the latch platform
