RPM surges at idle/while driving?...
RPM surges at idle/while driving?... Posting for a friend, he describes that the car's rpms seem to surge when he is at a stoplight, a few times the headlights have gone dim and the rpms dipping into the 6-800s. Also while cruising on the highway the car's rpm sometimes jumps even though he is in cruise and not going up hill or anything to cause the motor to kickdown. He has had this problem for about a month but the rpms dropping at the stoplights just started acting up so it seems the problem is progressive.
The odometer is at 140k but has a brand new opti, coil, plugs, battery and wires.
Suggestions?
