Kooks are quite nicely fit from what I hear. Hookers generally are a nice fit (a little loose at times though), but whatever you do don't model them after pacesetters. I've seen too many with floor clearance issues.

Any chance of doing equal length runners and possibly a race style merge collector (think American Racing or LG Pro C5 headers)?????

umm...I love the plug access and room for otvc wires on my jet-hots. I just don't like:

1) the 2-piece primary for the #1 cylinder
2) the way the passenger side header runs really close to the K-member
3) the way the driver's side collector exits at an awkward position.

So, address the above 3 issues on a jet-hot/hooker based design and that would be golden....

I guess I can live with slip fit collectors. The band clamps look really nice. I saw a set of slip fits once with u-bolt exhaust clamps! :puke: I agree that I don't really like the 2 piece #1 design but if you wrap it around the steering shaft, I think it's almost necessary. I love the plugs access on my Hooker's. Only thing I don't like is I have to get #6 an #8 from underneath the car. Maybe do a hybrid design of a couple different manufacturers.

I do have a question about the slip-fit, for flow reasons shouldn't the header go inside the y-pipe? This way there is no disturbance in exhaust flow and possiblitiy of leaks? Just my .02. I can't wait to see these new headers. Any time frame yet? Are you guys going to be selling them locally? I noticed that you are just over the bay from me.

The collector does go inside the y-pipe. but x2 on the status.

Are you going to design your own LT1 header or knock off another brand?

I can understand you question by looking at your mods.
We are going to produce a product of higher quality than you get with the other manufactures at half the cost. We are just tired of the big companys ripping people off with their inflated cost on products just because of what they are for not what it cost to make them.

Just what I wanted to hear.

Keep us posted on the progress, I've got a motor on the stand that will be needing a set within the next few months.

You are going to produce a stainless header design at half the cost of the other established companies standard designs?

That is an extremely tall order.

However, if you are able to do that you will pretty much own the entire market.

Just look at the LS1 headers and Y we make. We sell them at less than half of what the other companys sell stainless for and we use a better quality stainless than they do.

I just thought of something. Will you have these for sale indefinitely or will it be like a one time group buy thing?

ok my bad I was thinking you were saying they would be 1/2 the regular (nonstainless) headers, lol.

Still that's an awesome deal. Your price on the ls1 headers is about the same as the cheapest available for the lt1 pacesetters which are the budget header for Lt1s.

I would order some as soon as they become available at that price. And you will for sure make a boatload ($$$) if you do this.
