How can you tell if a LT1 out of a caprice is a 5.7L?

Does anybody know what it is if its a 4.3 ...this one says 588 ...I was told its a 4.3 I bought it anyway for 100 bucks and I thought I would be able to part it out n make more money to spend on my car

Many parts are the same, periferals, manifold, timing cover etc. The rods are 5.940, the crank 3.00. Throw the oilpump drive in the parts box, never know when it will come in handy, my old one resides in a friend's 383. The injectors are 19lbs, fuel rail is the same.
I do not like using the 327 as an identifier because on the front of the L99 block it says 327, granted the 327/588 we are telling guys to use is cast into the side but I still see it as a potential source of confusion so behind the drivers side head gets my vote as the best identifier.

thats a 4.3
