Default Should I buy this OBD Scanner?

None of the autozones around me can scan my z28, none of them do obd1 they all have obd2 scanners. I don't wanna spend a lot of cash on a digital backlit scanner with 24 serial ports that also doubles as a coffee machine.. will this little thing plug in and light the led for the codes?

NOTE: I have a Nissan 240SX that reads it's code right off the ECU via a LED or the dash CEL flashes the counter. I'm guessing the little guy above does the same thing?

Thanks for the advice.

Buy an odb1 cable for your laptop and use freescan. (akmcables has an odb1 cable with an odb2 end like your 95 needs)

Why cant you just Jump the test terminal with the ground? Or are you trying to do one of those, for a lack of a better word, an active scan?
What I do, for trouble code retrieval, is jump the top two terminals on my aldl connecter under the dash. Turning the key on, The code will flash on the dash, using the "SES" light.

LiENUS is right. 93 is the last year you could do that.
