Default headers hitting frame from power???

my dad just put some pacesetter lt on his car and everytime he gets on it the headers are hitting the frame on the driver side right where the pipe is notched for clearance. has anyone else had a similiar issue with that? i have pacesetter lt on my car to but mine do not hit, and we have pretty much very simular mods. do you think urathane motor mount could keep the motor from torqing up as much?

Thanks, Josh

It happened to me. It went away when I installed either the UMI torque arm or SFC's.. can't remember which one cured it.

my ORY is resting on that lump on the drivers side. the Y has a crush to "clear it" but it doesnt bother me.

my dad has subframe connectors, torque arm and all that so its not one of those, maybe just the way the hanger is. he has the lt with the pacesetter y pipe and a muffler dumped right before the rear, but the hanger is mounted where the cross membe or saftyloop mounts

Try and make the hanger longer so it pushes the exhaust down more. It might just be enough to give some clearance.

he has the hanger to where it is attactched right after the y, right where the y pipe ends he has a piece of pipe that goes out so the muffler is further back to the rearend and dumped. the hanger bar is welded on the extension pipe right after the y and is hanging on the hager bracket located on the safety loop bolt hole. so that way the exhaust can be dropped down.

Jet Hot's are notorious for that problem, i had to cut my Y and weld in an extention that tilted down to get it to clear. Maybe hammer down the Y a bit where its hitting for more clearance, kidna sucks we have to do that but its not too big of a deal

Same problem here, even with the Spohn LT torque arm crossmember which
is suposed to be designed to clear Hooker Y pipes
I'll have it modified eventually

assuming theres decent clearance to begin with... the engine doesnt move excessively from power.
it moves excessively from worn motor/trans mounts...

I ran true duals and only had a lil thump every now and thenwhen I would take off. I didn't like it so I put Prothane engine mounts in it and solved the problem. Prothanes are a lil harder than energy suspension. I don't know what type of T/A he has but if it mounts to the tranny then the problem is exacerbated.

you can cut the lip off the crossmember and grind the head of the bolts down
