Default Engine tick?

I've been hearing a tick under the hood for quite some time now. It seems to be coming from inside the drivers side valve cover. So im thinking maybe loose rocker? i really dont know. Is it easy to just pop off the valve covers and tighten and put them back on? Do i need a new gasket? The car only has 62k on it also. Anyone please put in there 2cents. THanks

Humm sometimes I can hear a tick, but i had it checked and it was found out not even to be a problem. Lt1's are well-knowen for being noisy, is it way loud or just like a small tick..tick..tick sound? Devin

LT1s are sewing machines.

If it's an uneven tick, then it could be one loose rocker arm. I would check for any leaks at the header flange and/or a intake gasket leak.

I agree, Whenever I get the tick I tighten the headers down a little and it usually goes away.
