Question car took a dump today! need help

Well decided to drive my car saturday night, and to my suprise my 2yr old battery was completly dead. So I put a battery charger on it sunday morning and the car started right up.I took it out to get some fuel I took it up onto the highway and got into it,it drove normal. Pulled into the gas station and left the car running while I was pumping gas the car started to die and then it finally shutoff.I tried to start the car and it would start and idle for 5seconds and die again. Now I cant even get it to want to start. I sprayed some starter fluid into the intake and it would fire up but quickly died so I now I'm getting spark. So I think it could be either fuel pump or the relay, and does anybody think this could have anything to do with my battery being completly drained? I almost forgot when turn the key on I dont hear the pump turn on.

try the fuel pump and see what happens... If the pump isn't priming then it's more than likely done for.. good luck

Don't rule out bad gas, either.

If you have a fuel pressure gauge you need to check what your pressure is. When is the last time you changed your fuel filter?

when I turn the key I dont hear the fuel pump turn on.I'm not getting any fuel pressure at all. But I think the fuel filter is due for a change.

Is there a fuse for the fuel pump? If so, that is the first place I would look. Replacing the pump is a pita and the last thing I would want to do, although I have done it. If you do replace it, I recommend biting the bullet and getting the Racetronix kit. It is the nuts.

def check that fuel filter. I've solved many issues with sputtering, poor idling, and stalling cars by simply replacing the fuel filter. Check the fuses as well and the relay I believe is right under the dead pedal behind the plastic. Good luck.
