Just bought injectors...
Hey I just bought 28# fuel injectors off of a 2002 LS1 from byunspeed (great service by the way) and was wondering what other mods I had to do to install them. Do I need a tune?
I accidently put 38# injectors instead of 28#

Alright thanks, I'll just save up and install them with a dyno tune then. Its only $500 for a dyno tune with free dyno tunes after that for additional mods. Plus I cant send in my PCM for a mail order tune, its my daily driver.

i hate to say it man but any increase in injector size at your level is not at all necessary or beneficial. just a waste of money unless you have bigger plans in mind

You also need to specify at what pressure the injectors are rated. LT1s run at 43 psi, the LS1s run at ~60 psi. So injectors rated as 42 on an LT1 run at ~48 on an LS1. And vice versa.

Yeah but they were only $20 I couldnt pass it up
So how high would I need to bump my fuel pressure up for these things to do any good? And if I bumped my fuel pressure up would my stock injectors act like a higher lb/hr injectors? Sorry for the n00b questions. I just dont have a lot of experience with fuel systems.

For that you would need an adjustable FPR. You would have to increase the fuel pressure to ~52 psi to achieve 24# injector status. Increasing fuel pressure on stock injectors will increase their flow to a point.

Can you give me the formula for figuring that out?
Would you know a safe fuel pressure if I bought, fuel pump, press reg., and press. gauge?
I typed in a formula in a fuel injector site and it told me my 24# inj would limit my power after 300hp which is basically just a few bolt ons thats why I want to bump up the pressure and or get better fuel injectors.
