Default what else could I have Tuned to the ecm??

I'm having my ecm tuned and I need to let them know what I want.... was wondering what other things are a good idea to do...I've only added 160 stat, 3.73 gears, cold air intake,52mm throttle body ...I know I wanna get those tuned in and I want to loose the emissions but not sure which ones that I can get rid of...and what other tunes I can do

You could also tune for Premium Octane (assuming thats what you run) and for that they will boost your timing which may pick you up a couple ponies.

The computer is already tuned for premium octane from the factory, you don't really want to increase the timing very much unless you have a scanner to monitor possible knock retard, since the stock timing is already high.

This is what I typically do on most bolton cars:
1. set the fans to come on way earlier
2. eliminate skip shift (for M6 cars)
3. increase line pressure some to firm shifts (for A4 cars)
4. eliminate burst knock (useless)
5. retard the knock sensitivity a little
6. lean the WOT a/f ratio (too rich stock, this will get you more power than any other adjustment)
7. turn off cat protect mode (if you removed the cats)
8. calibrate speedo for gear/tire size
9. decrease the idle underspeed/overspeed timing (smoother idle)
10. eliminate egr/air (if you removed those)
11. speed/rev limiters (if you want these changed for whatever reason)

I'm probably forgetting some things but that's a few.

So since I live in Missouri I'm not going to be running this car in the winter time so what should I have the fans set at with my 160 stat

I believe I set mine to 185/197. Doesn't really matter that much. You don't want to set them so low that they will run all the time, but that's really the only consideration.

On mine (93 ECM not PCM) I upped the VE tables across the board by about 4%. I did about the same on my 91 TPI. But my program is awesome as I can SMOOTH the tables out, no jagged jumps from like 44 to 46 it' smooths it to 44, 45, 46, 47 etc. Soooo much nicer looking

i have never done anything with the idle overspeed and underspeed timing. what is the theory behind that. how do you go by properly tuning these tables for a smoother idle. i definitely could use a smoother idle.

The tuner should know how to do it. If he doesn't, find another tuner.

I'm not 100% sure but I believe the theory is that, when the computer detects the idle is off it changes the timing based on this table to try and correct it. And if you reduce these values the changes will not be as abrupt so the idle will be smoother.
