Speedometer ?
The search isn't working right now, but I was curious. Why do some firebirds, mostly the formulas, usually 93-94, have a speedometer that goes only to 110? I was looking at 0-60 and quarter mile times online(i know you can't trust these), why does the 94 formula seem to be the slowest of the LT1 birds? I that a myth, or are they really slower?

Cars that came without the 'Z' rated tires got a 115 mph speedo and a speed limiter of (if I remember right) 108 mph, which shuts off fuel to the car when it hits (I know, i've hit it MANY, MANY times!!).

my 94 B4C had a 150 speedo, and the one time i was in a hurry, the last time i looked down, it was creeping towards 130, so I think the 94 formula's and zs differ in that sense?

Z tire rating is for 149 (or there about speeds)
look for code QLC (245/50) or QMT (235/55 standard size)

the gauge swap on the birds are easy, my understanding is it's just plug and play swap...I just recently swaped to the newer style (98+) in my 95 Z and it was a PITA.....but was worth it in my eyes
