Default Are PCMs compatible?
95 Camaro Z28, M6 and a 95 LT-1 A-4. Does the fact that they have different transmissions make a difference?

my 96 camaro had a 4L60E in it and i swapped a T56 in it and never changed the pcm and never had a problem with it.. no tuning needed either

Try going from a t56 to a 4l60E without reprogramming and see what happens.

thats a different story.. the 4l60E is an electronically controlled transmission and the computer tells the trans at what rpm to shift under what throttle.. the t56 doesn't have that information in the pcm
