Default oil pressure

some times my car idles at 40 and sometimes 20.. i belive its a bad guage i think i need to get it cheekd out. any one have the same problem or ideas. doesnt sound like it runs any diffrent

im not saying your gauge is good or bad, but mine idles at about 20 when warm if that is any reference

Thats normal
Although I sometimes my cars idle presure varies 20+ to 40, but then again so does my idle rpm

That's normal. What weight oil are you using? Does the pressure climb with RPM? You're looking for at least 15 psi at hot idle and 10 more psi for every 1k RPM.

What usually goes bad is the sender, not the gauge. It should be located right above the oil filter on your car, IIRC. If not, check the back of the intake. If it's bad, it will usually just read 0 or peg out, though.

Its normal. Mine does it too. Especially when it gets really hot outside.

What does it mean when you start the car and it's at like 75 for 5-10 minutes?

Well the vescocity is thick when cold, but when it warms up it will go down cause there is less resistance, mine idles at 20 or so warmed up.
