This mod is for every car that has a computer and a IAT. Yea it tricks the computer into thinking the air outside is cooler, and dumps in more fuel. Don't do it, not worth it.

I'm never a fan of mods that alter the pcm input data (this is the same type of thing the tuning chip/boxes do). Yeah it might help in some circumstances but could hurt you in other.
Much better to get the right components and actual tune set for whatever conditions you will be running the car at.

Some cars get hesitation in upper rpms from the pcm pulling timing. I know mine does. Just from putting the 160 thermo and getting my fans stuck on...don't know how it happened and I don't care, I have had way less problems with the hesition in upper rpm's. It might run rich in hot weather, but I'm sure it would still be better as long as it's not hesitating. I am going to try it soon too.

I don't think it would add peak hpo numbers on a graph, but on some of our lt1 dyno graphs , the lines stumble as they are going up, I think it has to do with the pcm and getting heat soaked, so the pcm pulls timing and makes it run worse. You might lose 5hp at the peak of the graph, but the mod could get rid of those spikes if the pcm reacted the way it should for an obd2 lt1. yes it may run a tad richer, but overall it could get rid of the stumbles from the pulled timing. I really don't know, but it sounds like it makes sense to me.
