Question Headers? Need Advise!!!

Guys,

I have the opportunity to pick up some MAC Mids (cer coated) for $400 (never installed/brand new) and I am wondering if it's worth it. I currently have some JBA shorties on my 383 stroker and wanted to know should I stick with my current install or go with the MACs? For those of you that prefer long tubes, just FYI they won't work for me as my T/A is slammed with Eibach Pro's and I will have major clearance issues. Will I have clearance issues with the MACs as well or is it just not really worth it? Any advise ASAP is greatly needed as if I'm gonna get these I need to move on em. Thanks for all your help.

If these are the same MAC 1-5/8" headers that have been around since the mid '90 (which I had on my car at one time) then I can't see them giving much of a gain over the 1-5/8" JBAs you already have. There are plenty of guys running around with long tubes with lowered cars.

yes, true duals give more issues with ground clearance than long tubes. mids are not worth $400. and thats not a deal.

The $400 includes the headers and ypipe, which will work with my setup. Not too concerned with HP, but will the MACs work better with a 383 setup or will the JBA shorties perform just a well and it's not worth the change?

I paid 150 for BBK, i was happy to know i will gain 15 HP on my little daily, but those headers over what you got i dont think it would be worth your efforts.
