Default running super rich problem

Ok well my minor problem is turning into a bigger one, I had a small shake that turned into a pretty noticable one, The car stinks like gas when running, its runs like this from the start.( no engine lights on)

I asked a gm tech and they are leaning towards a stuck injector or something fuel related, is it possible to a injector to stick open?
I really can't drive the car so any suggestions welcome so i dont have to get it towed. The car is amost acting like it out of timing.

Mine did this and it ended up being a bad exhaust leak. Is the 95 ECM in it?

an exhaust leak could be causing the smell but not the shaking and gas milage. deffinitally fuel related. check regulator also

i take that back. if the exhaust leak was before the 02, it could have a slight effect but probably not enough to notice and definitly not your problem

My car runs real rich it is a 96 with the same computer you have a 95 ECM. The performance shop that built my motor said 95 ECM can program more fuel delivery than a 96 and with my setup I would gain more. My car was missing real bad at 1 time . I changed plugs, wires, tune. Still did it . So I was like screw it I took it down to Waco to the people who built the car LG performance and they found real bad exhaust leak where you stated . If his car will not idle and trys to load up and die and at a certain rpm the car bogs real bad . I would check the exhaust leak. I would take it to a tuner and plug in scanner .

could be the reason, i just wouldnt think that it would have that much of an effect. after all, the exhaust fumes are still getting to the 02, just not as much. in reality the 02 doesnt use all the fumes, so all the gas doesnt really have to pass it.

Just my .02 check the regulator first and if not, Check your pressure on the rails with a fuel pressure gauge to see if it is high for some reason; if a pump is bad it can spike pressure or lose pressure tremendously. Although pressure usally drops, just an idea. BTW I would also check to see if the plugs are fouled out with gas b/c if it's running rich plugs can get drowned out pretty quickly. Good Luck!

What do your o2 readings look like? Is it popping out the exhaust?

It can be a number of things, o2's, fuel regulator, exhaust leak - hell, even the throttle body can cause it by causing split BLMs, making the computer think it is lean and dumping too much fuel.

Best bet is to scan that sucker.

You dont have to remove anything to check the regulator. Just pull the vacuum hose off of it and see if theres fuel in it. If so, the regulators leaking.

If it's the stock injectors yes they can stick open if they aren't working.
