Maf sensor The owner before me replaced this before he stopped driving the car and I bought it. However, since the new one, the car runs fine, but the SES light is on...It turns off at idle, but once you start to accelerate, the light comes on and stays on until you come to a complete stop...The previous owner said the computer needed to be reprogrammed or something for the new sensor?
If the MAF sensor is an aftermarket one, you might need to have it reprogrammed, however such programs are notoriously difficult to do. If it's another stock sensor, you shouldn't need any programming.
Have your car scanned to see what the code is.

Unfortunately, I agree. Please pass along the code, and we can try to help. Any MAF, aftermarket or not, should tell the PCM that all is well. I ran a Granatelli for a while, and it never set a code.
