Default Dont hate me..

I know there have been some recent threads about this with the rear main seal but I need to know what I have to do at this point. I have the transmission completely out of the car now [for the new stall] and isnt the rear main right behind the flexplate? Why am I hearing that I have to loosen motor mounts drop the pan and all this? What do I need to do to get to it?

It is right behind the flexplate, yes. You just need to "pick it out" and then install the new one.. no need to drop the pan, etc. It has nothing to do with it.

Yeeeaaaa, it is just requiring a flat head screw driver to pry it out.

put it in gear, haha just playing. U may need to stick a long screw driver or pry bar between two bolt heads while u break each one of them loose or have someone hold the crank hub with a wratchet

yeah either that, or use a long bar of some kind though one of the holes on the outside of the plate to brace it against the motor.

Impact gun or flexplate/flywheel tool is the best/professional way to do it.
