Did you look at the coil. some times when the opti takes a **** it will take the coil with it If the coil is good just get the MSD opti

Not meaning to get off topic here but I had an opti I took off a non running car and I didn't know if the opti worked or not. Didn't really care if it did. I put it on Ebay with a disclaimer and this guy gives like $100 for it. I felt so sorry for him that I told him that if it didn't work to send it back by such and such date and I'd refund him his money. Never heard from the guy again and no feedback or nothing. Have no idea how it turned out.

I used the Accel opti and have no problems at all. It's cheap and great quality.

the MSD opti had serious issues for a 500+ dollar distributor(seal and rotor rubbing, rotor screws backing out . look it up on camaro z28.com....which ever one you get locktite the rotor screws....

I must have got my msd before these problems arose. I would have loctited the rotor screws had I known. I have about 3k on it right now (I don't drive it much because it sucks gas fro some odd reason).
