Falcon, we're in a different league than the 94+ people. They just hook up a computer, an ALDL cable and use software to burn. We have to make a tune, have it burned to a new EPROM and then either use the solderless adapter card, or solder it in. I also soldered mine in, since that card is $30 :\
Search Google for "ALDL Cable". There's a bunch of sites. I hear that the Serial one is the best, but if you don't have a serial port (which is older and fewer PCs have it now) then the USB is your only option.

Don't know if newer ones are here or not, but this is where I got mine, and a few other, bin/def files.
ftp://ftp.diy-efi.org/pub/gmecm/
Basically get your ECM/PCM number and go from there. Don't know about the EEPROMs, but on the EPROMs we have a number, and that helps to have too.

I'd pay the 29 bucks for the file, since you have NO idea what the 'free' crap may have in them.
Links to cables are also on the Tunercat website. AKMcables is a good source.
The cable will cost you roughly 100 bucks or so.
OBD2 stuff, like 98+, and older stuff, like 93-, are completely different. Also, 93s are a little wierd. I suggest asking what years the folks making suggestions are familiar with.
But quite honestly, ALL the information you need is on Tunercat's website.

They might end up deleting this, so hurry up and figure it out.
On this page, you want the tuner, at the top. Then you need to go and find your definition file for your PCM, year, make, model.
Hurry the f**k up before the link gets deleted.
Click on price information, and choose the def files that are 19.95, then find the one that fits your car.

I have a 94 BIN but I'd need the damn ECM file for it :\ To tune my friends 94 Vette.
BTW, the "Free" stuff, is fine. I used them both for my TPI and LT1. Granted, they are EPROMs and not EEPROMs, they were still free.
Here's where I'm getting that 94 BIN from. (same place I got all my EPROM bins)
ftp://ftp.diy-efi.org/pub/gmecm/bin_lib/16188051/

Many places. MadZ28, PCM For Less, and I'm sure others.
If you want to change your fans, why don't you just put in a manual fan switch for like $15 (or less if you know how to do it and have the parts already).
EDIT: haha I Love the internet. Well, and google. Just type in anything you want and it'll find it. The $EE file is from Moates.
Don't know how this will work with other programs, but I"m used to TunerPro and it works in TunerPro R/T.
XDF = $EE ECM File (94/95 Y, F, B, D bodies)
BIN = Tune (stock 94TA, A4 is my guess)
I assume then, after effing around with the tune (bin) you'd just need like CATS WinFlash.
Also, if anyone has a 94 M6 bin, I'd like to look at it pls kthnx.
EDIT2: After further inspection of the 94TA vs the 95COP bins, I'm going to lean towards the 94TA being an M6 bin. My theory is based on a few things not being present in the TA, but in the COP, such as "Downshift pressure modifier". There is none in the TA, but a full table in the COP. Also many of the TRANS Flags/Switches are not present in the TA but in the COP. Basically, I've yet to see an M6 cop lol Also no TCC error (Which I think is Torque Converter, no?) flags for TA. There are a few TCC flags for the TA lower in the list though. My 93 was simple, it had a flag for Manual or Auto :\ X for Auto blank for Manual.
