1) probably not(maybe because one injector was shot)
2) yes.... you will need to tune the car to run bigger injectors.

DO NOT RUN ACCEL INJECTORS! They are utter crap.

I had the same experience as that first thread last week. Someone got some "44 lb" accel injectors. How do I know they are 44lb? Because it said right on the injector. Well we set the injector constant to 44lb and the car runs like crap. Set it back to the stock 24lb and it runs great. They were obviously not 44lb injectors.

Well, Infinite's problem aside. If you get injectors that are indeed their # rating, I would say yes you'll pick up some power and response. 1) The stock injectors were working their little hearts out to make your power. Duty cycle was probably well over 100% lol 2) you get more flow, and better fuel ionization from a more performance oriented injector.

Yes, you'll need to update your tune so it knows what size you have.

If you go to a performance site and buy them that are already batch flow tested, then you'll KNOW they are the # you're buying.

I'm really happy with my SVO's and so are many others who get them.

I agree SVOs are good as are racetronix, delphi, etc.

So many people have had issues with the accel though, that I would definitely stay away. Even if you get the right size, lots of people have had them fail, stick open, and do other things that are not so good.

I have also had Accell injectors and did not like the way that they performed. The Ford injectors are a great deal and work very well.

Good Luck,

You don't gain power or throttle response with new injectors. All they do is let you make more power before they are maxed out. And bigger injectors hurt the idle and low speed driveability.

Over stock injectors? Well, I guess I got lucky then. It was a clear as day difference going from my stock 22# to the 24# SVO BEFORE my tune.

Except, I wasn't expecting any gain due to no tune. We can argue till the cows come home, but there was better throttle response, sorry to say.

Your old injectors were probably clogged. Swapping in new stock ones would have probably given you the same gain.
