GM needed to make the LT4 or another LTengine with better flowing things/composit intake mani/etc, so we can swap things easily like the LS1/LS6 guys.
lets face it, we have the experimental, mutant, frankenstein engine GM dreamed of, and it still whoops some *** 14 years later.

it still amazes me, to the amount of people that always try racing a car with a truck. most times, completely ruining the usefulness of a truck.
don't get me wrong, I LOVE putting the occasional import-f*cker in his place with my truck, but it still sees a 5000lb load atleast once a week, and see's the dirt atleast 5 days a week.

technology is a bitch to keep up with, somebody in this post was amazed that toyota had a 380hp 350, big f-in deal, chevy had that about 30 years ago with ancient carb technology
Ive been working on porsches for several years now, you wanna talk about technology, how about the new gt3, an n/a 6cyl 3.8 with 415hp, for those of you who have never driven one, they are marvels of technology, even if they are yuppied out..
But still, its funny to think after i have about 15 grand of parts into my 96 ws6, they will see my taillights in the straights, turns, and even in braking, Technology is hard to keep up with, but remember to its working for us to make better parts to make our dinosaur lt1 cars better

If there's anyone out there who's mad because their mint condition first gen Camaro can't beat my LT1 (or a 2007 truck), I'm open for trades. LOL

Also keep in mind hp ratings of old cars are typically given as "gross" and not "net", I forget how much the difference is, but it makes older cars look more powerful than they are when compared to newer cars.

??Where's the 500+ rwhp head/cam 383 you speak of? Seems like 370-425RWHP NA LTXs are common but 500rwhp NA LTXs???
I've looked at some new C6s for less than 50K, with the cost of mods and the performance potential I've been thinking about pulling the trigger on a C6.
