Yeah I've always been told to wait 500 miles for Engine/Trans./Rear End rebuilds.... Been told it allows them to wear correctly so that you don't just grind metal off the ring/pinnion instaed of allowing it to wear off gradually from normal driving. But who really knows? Just wouldn't want to spend $500+ on a new set of gears installed and then tear them up u know!
So anyways back on the tune subject. I'll probably just do the factory injectors until I take it to get tuned. But I'll prolly just get it done right away. I don't know how much damage I can cause using a stock file. I'm sure it can cause damage to the engine somehow if I prolong it and try to drive it for a few days. I'm mainly concerned with spark Knock, detonation, and Air-Fuel mixture issues. Don't want to run it too lean. Well I guess I'll cross that when I come to it huh? BTW Those are some good times ABBA. And you know I've been told from a guy at a local shop that I went to a few weeks ago that I shouldn't over cam the thing. He said that a car with too much cam and not enough supporting mods will only hurt my ET's and he said to go with a low duration and 575ish lift cam.....and I'd see good times and good power on the street as well.

New shortblocks should be heatcycled beating the **** out of them from the getgo...
New trans doesn't need a break in...
Gears I just heat cycled one night and was ready to get kickin' the next day.. my strange 3.73's lasted ALOT of track passes in my stock 10 bolt when I had it...
