Default spark plug wire dilema

Ok i have a set of taylor wires 8mm with the whole wiring loom kit and i also have a set of MSD 8.5mm wires. I've gone through a set of MSDs and Delphis because i just keep burning the damn things up with the headers.

I route them through the stock loom and far away as possible from the headers but god dammit they still burn up!

I have a couple of questions for you guys.

1). Will i notice any difference of power between the two?

2). Are the loom kit wires the way to go?

I was pretty skeptic on the OTVC kit from Thunder Racing too. I actually had bought MSD's for the stock location 1st but after I had a hard enough time just getting the old wires off I returned them for the OTVC kit. I honestly could not be happier! They work awesome! You won't have an increase in power, more like just having the power your supposed too since you won't have burned wires or anything. After doing this kit it is the only way too go. Makes everything sooo easy. Just the assembly part is kinda hard but nothing major.

I know what you mean man. I just fixed my car from missing yesterday. My 7th cylinder was completely dead thanks to a burned plug wire, it was stuck to the manifold. I'm thinkin' about going with that over the valve cover thing. Just need to wait till Friday when I get paid!

i have the accell 300 wires, im just too lazy to get the OTVC looms and cut these to fit, so im keeping the 'stock' delteq wires...

plus i dont wanna cover up my lt4 valve covers with the looms...

well i talked to a guy at speedinc today. He has some heat shielding boots for the wires, so i'm going to go with yet again another set of the MSDs. I'd do otvc's but everything else on the car's ignition system is MSD. So i figure mine as well finish it off with MSD wires. If this doesn't do it then i am definitely installing the otvc taylors.

You could still do the OTVC wires with MSD's. Just get the looms and stuff separate and buy the MSD wires that you assemble. Call Thunder and see what they can do for you as far as making a OTVC kit with MSD wires. I'm telling you man this savd me tons of time and headaches.

True you have a good point. I didn't think of running a wire loom kit for the MSDs. Well i'll send an email over to thunderracing then.

Thanks!
