If you're doing h/c later you absolutely want LTs.

Even a small h/c is going to be moving more air than stock. Free flowing exhaust/intake are important supporting mods for that. Go to lloyd's site and read the description for the LE1. His advertised #s are only with LTs. Go with anything else and you will make less. If emissions are not an issue, just do it right and get the good stuff.

Well the cutout would definitely help.

And you shouldn't judge a good setup just by what other people are running. Plenty of people run a flowmaster exhaust, doesn't mean its optimal for getting the most power.

yeah don't get mids if you plan on doing a h/c swap. thats just stupid. its one thing to put mids on a bolt-on/stock motor but putting mids on a h/c motor would be like keeping the manifolds on the stock motor, your just gonna choke the **** out of it

Oh I understand that (saw everyone with flowmaster and decided "hey they must be good" Then I found ls1tech.) But my mind just wonders how these other people are doing it. The cutout will be mounted RIGHT after the Y before the cat. I debate every day, if I should put money into it or sell it. But I know 100% that it will be geared and stalled for sure. H/cs down the road a little. But not too far.

you said you didnt have emissions to worry about then why are you putting a cat on your car? thats just as bad as putting mids on if not worse

No muffler shop will weld in a straight pipe. I cant weld so Im phucked. I would more than happy get rid of it. But nobody will weld the cutout inplace of it.

Just get an off road y pipe. Or at least make sure its a high flow cat. Even still, if theres no emissions, just get an ORY. Cheaper than a catted Y.

go coated LTs... idk if id trust them used (since pacesetters are known to need some 'modification'), but either way, get them bitches smeared with some ceramic coating... it isnt for looks, its for heat retention.

btw, you can get coated pacesetters NEW for under 400 bucks... well worth it.
