kaboom? so my car was missing so i parked it in the driveway n shut it down. i tried starting it to move it and now when the rpm drops off a rev from say 2000 theres a really nasty knocking sound.
when the car gets a little warm the sound goes away but the car still misses.
has this happend to anyone or does anyone know what i did?
its a stock 97 LT1 camaro SS 40 000 origional KM

It doesn't sound good at all. Seems like rod knock, piston slap, or something. I don't want to jump to conclusions, but you might have to pull the motor.
I know you have low miles, but it can happen. My friend also has a 97 Camaro SS which blew the motor at about 40K miles.

ya well the motors just about out now so i guess ill find out sooner rather then later some people are saying a piston skirt may have broken off inside one of the cylinders. but ya either way it dosent sound good.
