Big block or small block? Torque makes everything. We don't have as much as we would like. I'm also 200 lbs heavier than him with a road race suspension.

Plus I just found two burnt plug wires so that would slow it down a bit. I still think that 132-133 on motor is realistic for this car with this suspension at this weight. The 60' has a big effect on mph as well.

Not trying to be antagonositc with you, it's just not an apples to apples comparo. The car makes what it makes and runs what it runs.

Yeah, multi tasking cars can do ok in a few areas, but if you really wanted that record I think you should have set out to do that from the start.
I couldn't agree more. I have spent a lot of time on the phone with Taner and I can tell you he has broken a TON of stuff. This car was never conceived as a full drag car. the wilder it gets the harder it is to do both so I think someday it will be one or the other. I really did want the record but I realized that it wasn't going to happen with what we were building. Besides I would rather spend my time going down the track rather than replacing broken parts searching for every last tenth.

I agree. I think Taner has the most broken part posts I've ever seen. It still would have been (could be) nice to be the first 8 sec six speed Fbody ever.

Sounds good to tell someone you have a 8 sec stick car.

I might still be able to have the fastest stick shift LT1. Just not the fastest T56 LT1.

It's all just in fun because when it comes down to it the real thrill is in the ride not just the timeslip.

dave,

i had a great f'n weekend racing, no spray though, my n20 fuel pump took a dump, the FPSS saved my a$$ ! it shut the n2o off as it was supposed to do My Liberty built trans is working quite well!

you like my new signature?

or should i change it to it could only be done WITHOUT G Force Transmissions & Long Shifters. I gave them the opportunity to make things right! believe me i will be posting my saga of facts on every forum known to internet kind! i am just waiting for my $hit parts back from them! you know i couldn't even sell these parts to my worst enemy as i know what the outcome is going to be. the next time they hear from me will be my legal representation, ya know they advertise 1200 HP, lmmfao!!! their **** is falling apart at 500 rwhp! they have cost me nearly $4500.00 just to walk away from their inferior products. all i was looking for was less than half of that to keep my nightmare to myself.

UPDATE:.

Went to to the track today and ripped off a 10.44 all motor. The numbers are as follows:

1.59......60'
6.72......1/8th
105.12...MPH
10.44.....E/T
131.26...MPH

The track was slick and I have issues with the 2-step, the clutch pedal and it needs some more suspension tuning so I think it realistically has a 10.20 N/A in it. Time for the 275 hit now

I must say that the new trans is the coolest thing ever. That's the first time I changed 5 gears with no clutch and no loss of power between shifts. It sounds like a 5 speed automatic going down the track.

Nice numbers Dave! What TQ are you knocking down?

Sorry about the late reply on the Cooling. Yes I was speaking of and Oil cooler to cool the engine oil. With the bottom of the Block rocked you would need a HUGE oil cooler to keep oil temps in check durring a road race.

We were thinking of taking my car to the next Open road race we run. After doing the foot work it is pretty clear I need to build another engine to do it

Then again I built this one to go 750RW or so

I hope to see some more numbers from you soon! 200RW shot should get you near an 8second pass

Thanks Ellis. Not sure what the tq numbers are, didn't get a reading on the dyno. Not as much as you would think, it's a little peaky with those heads.

Our oil cooler is about half the size of the radiator. It's huge. Between that and the accusump we have 10 qts of oil in it. Should have used a dry sump.
