K&N HP-3002

The taller version of the HP-2002 which is what is spec for the LT1. Slightly expensive, but haven't had any issues

I use NAPA GOLD.. thats right NAPA GOLD it is made by wix but for napa thats what most drag/nascar racing car use.. why because the micronicfilters are so much more and better filtration is provided. I used to work at NAPA (Genuine Parts Company) and one day me and a sup. took a k&n, NAPA GOLD, FRAM, BOSCH filter cut them bastards open and started to compare. come to find out the best ones was the K&N and the NAPA GOLD they have the same micronicfilters only that the k&n has the nut at the thats why they are pricey...but i use NAPA GOLD and nothing else..just my.02

There is nothing wrong with AC Delco, Purolator PureOne, Wix, NAPA, BOSCH, M1, and K&N.

I use the AC Delco Ultraguard Gold PF52 in my car. When I don't have in stock I use Pureone Filters.

Fram sucks BTW

We took apart filters in auto class and after seeing some of them, I wouldn't run anything besides ACDelco or Wix. Right now I run AC Delco.

we tookm apart in class to

FRAM, has some kind of jell after the blow back valve, paper ends and not much filter element, little piece of metal at the bottom holding it together (acting as a spring)

Delco, has metal ends and decent filter, little piece of metal at the bottom holding it together (acting as a spring)

Wix, metals ends, Has filters inside the filter, has a real spring in it

also found out some other cool stuff wix is the biggest filter maker in the world, also its the filter most used by auto manu's from the fact even though they might not say wix

NAPA Gold = wix

we also rated motor oils, sorry guys that run royal purple and all that syn ****, castrol GTX takes the top next to (ill have to look)

Oversized Wix (I buy them in Master Packs) and German Castrol 0-30. NOTHING else. In a jam, I would use an AC Delco.

AVOID FRAM LIKE THE PLAGUE.

This is the page to study:

fram filters are nothing but toilet paper. I worked at an oreillys and we disected a fram oil filter that was damaged when shipped to us and thats all the filter element could compare to is toilet paper.
