What would cause it to bog when given throttle?

What would cause it to bog when given throttle? I am having a problem with my LT1 truck, the thing ran great then it started intermittently cutting out. Have brand new opti and coil, plugs and wires are good. When you give it any throttle it just bogs like you are hitting a kill switch, then when you let off the the throttle the tach comes back up and it idles. It also now cranks a little before firing.
Anyone have any ideas? I need to get this figured out quick because I have to drive this truck to PA this weekend from NC and it is my only transportation

Dude thank you for giving me the idea to just go ahead and try it one more time. I tried it a few times when this problem first started and it has 40lbs every time. Well this time it primes and only gets up to 15lbs, then falls off in seconds. This would explain the long cranking and also why it will stay running as long as you just leave it alone and let it idle once it starts. I'm guessing a bad check valve in the fuel pump and/or the pump itself.

Actually the hose on the sending unit that runs from the pump to the hard line had split. I replaced it and the truck has good fuel pressure now and starts and runs fine.
It still cuts out though when driving down the road at any random moment. Cruising, accerating, on it hard, decel, doesn't matter. It is like completely shutting ignition on and off. It makes the truck buck so insanely violent that people around me in other vehicles will stay far behind me and just try to stay away from it. It is not a fuel related problem, it has good fuel pressure while this is going on. This looks like a whole different problem. The good news is the fuel problem is fixed, but this might be a lot harder to figure out. The speedo also goes almost pegged when this happens... wtf?

The line was inside the tank. It is a part of the sending unit. It was an internal leak, any leaking fuel would already be in the tank, because the leak happened in the tank.
