Default Advice For Shift Points W/cc503

Here's The Situation I'm Going To The Track In 2 Weeks And Really Have No Idea As To What Shift Point To Set My Tach At. I Have P&p Heads And Intake By Port Pros And All The Supporting Mods. My Stall Is The Tci Streetfighter With Stall Of 3000-3200rpm. Oh And Of Course The Comp Cam 503. So If You Had Experience With This Cam And Advice Please Let Me Know What To Do.
Thanks, 1sicss

I'd shift at 6200 or so.

I am planning on throwin a cam very similar to the 503 in my auto 95 camaro and I was going to set my shift point at 5,800rpm. I figure if the cam stops makin peak power at 5,700rpm than why keep it reved much higher than that? Not to mention the car is my DD so I don't really feel like redlining the **** out of it.

The 503 makes power well beyond 5800.

I trapped ~113 with that cam shifting at 6200.

Get it to a dyno and check. And ported heads will let it peak later than stock heads. I was shifting my gm846 (222/230) at 6500 with mildy ported heads.
