200 miles, change fluid, have fun. Dont know about the 94 speedo, mine has to be reprogramed but yours is obd1, might just have a speedo gear that needs to be changed?

Just drive the car nice for a little while.

Its ok to get on it once the car is in motion and the gears are locked in, but any shock from slamming at like a stop, the gas or kickin it sideways you want to keep to a minimum...
The longer and better you break them in will help determine how long they last and sound.

And btw,
I am thinking about doing the same thing, 2.73--> 3.73's.
How do they feel?

If you get your fluid changed when you put the new gears in, Im pretty sure you don't need to do it again.

yeah. you DO NOT need to change the fluid. after about 3000 miles i called the shop that put my gears in and they said that it was Unnecessary.

yep no need to change fluid and try to avoid going up steep hills- it will cause more load on them and you dont want that

(speedo way off) its around 3 grand it dosent shift to 4th it just stays in 3rd but there a good invesment

Well its all about preferance, me personally, i did not change my fluid and did not do a break in period, but i did not want to tell him that and he goes out and ***** some **** up.

You are right, you dont need to, but if you were changeing the fluid to not only get new fluid in but to also check for metal shavings, it is not a bad idea....

You also dont have to change the engine oil every 3000 miles in some new cars, but people do....

You definetly need to get it recalibrated, your speedo is off, and your shift points are off. Try Brian at PCM for Less
