It just depends what you are doing with the car, how much power expected, what type of driving? I had a carbon fiber on my stock engine Z it picked up over 5rwhp from my 1LE aluminum drive shaft

I agree. It's very strong. How much power are you running?

I might have one local.

Be careful if you buy one on ebay...I just bought what was suposed to be an aluminum ds from a ls1 Camaro...after it finally arrived (3 weeks after paying for it) its the wrong driveshaft...its like 51" not including the yoke.

The bad thing is the seller refuses to believe its not the right driveshaft and wont refund my money. I filed a paypal claim and he just disputed it....thumbs down for some guy in florida who sold me the wrong driveshaft.

For not much more than an F-body aluminum shaft you can get a brand new Lingenfelter shaft.

EDIT: OK scratch that. I KNOW I didn't pay much over $200 for mine, but I just looked it up and for some reason it's now $400. ouch

Haha, I was about to say. The LS1 ds goes for $100-$120 and it's a bitch to ship.
